Maintenance Technician

Summary:
Foot Levelers, Inc. is seeking a responsible individual to perform repairs and preventative maintenance to company machinery and equipment and the repair, maintenance, and upkeep of the building and grounds. Individual must be a “well-rounded” maintenance technician, skilled in many areas, a “Jack of all trades.” This is a day-shift position with occasional Saturday overtime.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Equipment and Machinery

  • Perform timely repairs, preventative maintenance, and general maintenance of machinery and equipment including: CNC cutting and milling machines, vertical carousel storage and retrieval systems, 6-axis robotics, conveyor systems, air compressors, and dust collection systems.
  • Perform preventative maintenance in accordance with established schedules.
  • Maintain preventative maintenance logs in accordance with OSHA standards.

Building and Grounds
  • Move production and office equipment and furniture, as needed.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems.
  • Report shortages of required operating materials for the Maintenance Department.
  • Unlock employee entrance and open the building each morning.
  • Seasonal grounds maintenance including mowing, yard work, and snow removal.

Personal Requirements:

Before Hire

  • Minimum of five years’ experience in a hands-on maintenance position.

Summary: Responsible for reviewing incoming orthotics orders, ensuring clinical efficacy by consulting with practitioners and collaborating with our Clinical Service, Sales Force, and Production department. Research and provide input for various Clinical Services projects.


Responsibilities:
  • Clinical consultation, assist clinicians with product selection and advice on modifications
  • Ensure clinical efficacy through education, establish and develop good relationship with practitioners, ensure the orthotics prescription will provide the best outcome for the patients in timely manner
  • Review incoming orders, including orthotic orders and gait analysis reports received electronically, foam/cast orders received by mail, manual orders received by fax and telephone
  • Review modification orders, provide the consultation to practitioners
  • Review sports team orders, provide clinical input on prescribing orthotics for professional sport team players
  • Resolve invalid, duplicate, and not-assigned orders
  • Coordinate with Production Department when replicating sample orthotics and to ensure proper manufacturing of orthotics, ensure orthotic meet practitioner’s need

  • Make outgoing clarification calls and take incoming consultation calls

Production Engineer

Summary:
This position will be an integral part of the business operations. You will be responsible for the development of new software tools to ensure the efficient flow of the manufacturing floor. These tools will interface directly with our production line so the ability to work with hardware is a must. We run a clean, high volume, mass customization shop so data integrity and tracking is critical. This includes machine-vision QC inspection, database management, generation of work instructions, and generally interfacing to a variety of electro-mechanical production systems. Working with the in-house development team you will develop a comprehensive plan to upgrade our legacy systems as well as identify and develop new systems.


Responsibilities:

  • Develop a lightweight, easy to use manufacturing dashboard system to monitor all aspects of production and order flow.
  • Work with product development to create an efficient pipeline to transfer data from remote, cloud-based locations and import into the manufacturing system.
  • Work with local and remote databases for storing, searching and generating reports, pertaining to custom orders.
  • Scrub and convert data for easy integration into other platforms such as ERP system, customer service system, sales database, manufacturing instructions, etc.
  • Ensure the efficient and reliable operation of in-house manufacturing machines (CNC, waterjet, robot arms, etc).
  • Troubleshoot daily workflow issues to ensure maximum manufacturing up time.


Qualifications:

  • BS or MS in Engineering required. Computer Engineering or equivalent preferred, however, other engineer disciplines with relevant work experience may be acceptable.
